What exactly is improv?

Improv skills are great for the workplace and in social settings. You can use comedy or improv theatre techniques when giving presentations to be more confident and less nervous.

Improv can mean a lot of different things depending on who you speak to.

For us, improvisation involves combining the best elements of comedy, acting, sketch, Theatresports, improv theatre and even stand up techniques.

At the Improv Comedy Cagefight, you’ll see a mix of all of these styles on stage - the performers themselves choose the style that they’ll perform and they explain what they’re going to do to the audience.

In each of our classes, we run a series of games that are underpinned by the concept of ‘play for adults’. These games generate a creative environment where you will discover new things about yourself.

The games themselves are 5-15 minutes in length. They’re all different and always involve group work, so you aren’t put on the spot or in an embarrassing situation.

All of the games align with an element of public speaking or storytelling, and they will help you to increase your confidence, skills and charisma.

Improv workshops will help your team to improve their communication skills. They will help you when speaking with clients, generating sales and even in social settings. They draw on public speaking techniques to help you when story telling.
